Sorry I've been gone lately. I've been writing like a mad man, and I haven't wanted to break for blogging.
The stats are these:
Weight: As of yesterday I was down to 230. That's six pounds since we started! And, even better, I've been able to do it without significantly altering my lifestyle. It's essentially been a matter of portion control, and a lack of sugary drinks. Here's what I especially like about this: I feel like I'm learning how to eat better overall. For example, a week ago I ate a very large meal--about normal for things I used to eat--and it completely made me sick. So, I feel that, once I've lost the weight, I'll be able to maintain it. So, yippee.
Writing: As of yesterday, after seven writing days, I'm 38,000 words into this new book. I'm mucho pleased.

That is so great! From everyone I've talked to that also happens with this hCG diet I'm doing. The things that used to trigger a lot of eating no longer even taste good!
I hope that happens for me!
Rob, I'm jealous. I wish I could go to an office and concentrate on nothing but writing. (And have somebody else at home doing the cooking.) 38,000 words in one week is an amazing accomplishment.
Six pounds is pretty good, too. Small changes can really add up.
Woo hoo for you! I'm impressed with your weight loss and even more so with your writing accomplishment. Very cool.
Way to go with the weight loss.
I was at a training meeting today- the entire day 7:30-3. When they brought in the menue for us to order lunch, there was nothing on there I would willingly eat anymore. I could have even had a raspberry lemonade or cheesecake or any number of other used to live for goodies.
I finally chose a hamburger and fries and couldn't finish it- it was just too much and I have felt yucky ever since lunch. I am so lookin forward to coconut soup for supper!
Dang you with your easy weight loss!
(I can say this because he is my husband)
Dang you with your easy weight loss! (He's not my husband, but I said it anyway. :)
That's really cool, Rob. Not only with the weight loss, but with the book. You know I'm waiting for that book, right??
